Growing Strong Through Discipleship

Discipleship is a very important way for teens to lay the foundation of their faith and to become more and more like Christ every day. We have several discipleship programs that we use to help teens grow spiritually; from beginner’s courses, where new Christians can learn the basis truths of God’s word, to a program, geared towards strong, mature Christians so that they can add to that foundation. We also have a daily devotional called “Quiet Time, which many of our teens use each day. This devotional allows us as a Youth Group to grow together in God’s word and become more united. Our Wednesday night lessons are formatted from the scripture used in the quiet time books, which makes for great discussions.

Outreach

Each Tuesday Night teens and adults come together to go our and reach our community. This is a great service opportunity and a chance for our teens to make a positive difference and impact other teens in the Washington Court House area. We meet at 6:30pm every Tuesday. The first Tuesday of the month we have a special Teen outreach and fellowship.

Activities

Each month we plan several events for the teens to attend. Our main focus is to reach out into the community surrounding the Washington Court House area. Our goal is to draw more teens to Christ, but we also want to make sure that they have a good time. By doing this we hope that our teens can build strong bonds together. It is important in the lives of teenagers that they feel that they belong and can connect with other teens. Our desire is that they are able to do that right here at Anchor Baptist Church, Pulse Teen Group.
